Recently, Bazhou Mar-Furniture Co., Ltd. has successfully completed the full semi-announced amfori BSCI social compliance audit conducted by LRQA, an internationally recognized certification body. The on-site inspection was fully concluded on June 17, 2026, with the official audit report valid until June 24, 2028. Covering all production operations, employee rights, occupational health & safety, environmental management, ethical business conduct and other compliance systems, this audit’s positive outcome marks our factory’s social responsibility and supply chain compliance management framework has gained authoritative international recognition.
Commitment to Full Compliance: Standardized Social Responsibility System in Place
The BSCI audit assessed all 13 core performance areas of the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct. Our factory achieved an A Grade (Excellent) in multiple critical modules including Freedom of Association & Collective Bargaining, No Discrimination & Anti-Harassment, Decent Working Hours, Prohibition of Child Labour, Special Protection for Young Workers, No Forced/Bonded Labour, Environmental Protection and fundamental ethical business standards, demonstrating a mature and complete overall compliance framework.
Located south of Shijiapu Village, Dongduan Town, Bazhou City, Langfang, Hebei Province, our company specializes in manufacturing household furniture including tables, chairs and sofas. Our full production workflow covers metal cutting, punching, welding, polishing, glue spraying, fabric cutting, sewing, assembly and packaging. The plant covers a construction area of 5,000 square meters with a total permanent workforce of 49 employees.
We implement standardized attendance and remuneration mechanisms to safeguard staff rights: a single fixed shift runs from 08:00–12:00 and 13:30–17:30, delivering 8 regular working hours per day. All workers enjoy full rest on Sundays and statutory public holidays. Fingerprint biometric attendance is adopted for accurate time tracking. All salaries are calculated on an hourly basis and paid in full on the 15th of each subsequent month. Overtime pay is provided in accordance with local labour laws: 150% of base hourly wage for weekday overtime and 200% for weekend overtime, with no overtime scheduled on public holidays. Our minimum regular hourly wage exceeds the legal minimum standard issued by Langfang local authorities to guarantee fair remuneration for all employees.
In terms of social security benefits, the company legally arranges five mandatory social insurances for all eligible staff. We have additionally purchased employer’s liability commercial insurance covering 39 employees with valid coverage from March 11, 2026 to March 10, 2027, forming a comprehensive risk protection system for workers.
The production site is fully equipped with fire extinguishers, emergency exit lighting, evacuation route signage, fire evacuation plans, first aid kits, dedicated chemical storage zones and posted Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to meet occupational health and safety regulatory requirements. Complete official permits and documents are retained on-site, including fire safety acceptance certificates, environmental approval documents, hazardous waste transfer records and pollutant discharge registration certificates to support standardized environmental and safety operation.
Continuous Improvement & Long-Term Sustainable Development
During the audit, LRQA lead auditor Sophia Xia conducted thorough reviews of management documents, attendance & payroll records, social insurance certificates, on-site facility inspections and interviews with management and frontline workers. Minor non-conformities identified in the audit related to occupational PPE usage, machine safety guards, social insurance full coverage, worker awareness of BSCI standards and personal information management procedures have been fully recorded. Our management team has signed the on-site Corrective Action Plan (CAP) and launched rectification work immediately after the audit closing meeting.
Moving forward, Bazhou Mar-Furniture will continue to optimize our social compliance management system. We will strengthen regular occupational safety training, enforce mandatory PPE wearing rules, complete safety guard installation on all production equipment, realize full social insurance coverage for all eligible staff, conduct regular BSCI awareness training for all employees, and establish standardized personal information protection procedures. We will regularly evaluate the effectiveness of our worker grievance mechanism to ensure timely response to employee feedback via the factory suggestion box.
This BSCI audit success serves as a milestone in our sustainable development journey. We will uphold the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct in daily production and operation, balance corporate growth with employee welfare, environmental protection and ethical supply chain management, and deliver reliable, socially responsible furniture products to global clients with consistent high standards.
